Heaters

Gazebo heater hire, so the party does not end at nine.

A gazebo keeps the rain off. A heater is what makes people stay. We carry our own infrared heaters, which means we still have them in November when everyone else is apologising.

How it mounts

The unit fixes to the frame above head height and points down, so it warms the people rather than the air above them, and there is nothing standing on your floor to walk into.

CANOPY INFRARED HEATER – MOUNTS OVERHEAD – NO FLAME, NO GAS BOTTLE – WARM THE SECOND IT IS ON – NOTHING TAKING UP FLOOR – NEEDS A SOCKET ON SITE GROUND

How many heaters for your gazebo

This is the question we get asked most, so here is the straight answer for each size. These assume you have at least two sidewalls down, which you will want anyway if it is cold enough to need heating.

Why we make a fuss about this

Most gazebo hire firms treat heating as a tick box extra. They do not own heaters, so they source them when someone asks, which is why you get told they are unavailable in the exact months you need them.

We bought our own. That is the whole reason this page exists: we can say yes in October, November and December, and we can send two per gazebo rather than rationing them out.

It also means the heaters arrive with the gazebo, on the same van, set up by the same people. You are not waiting on a second delivery from a different company.

What you get

  • Infrared units that mount overhead on the gazebo frame
  • No flame, no gas bottle, nothing standing on your floor
  • Warm the second they are switched on, no waiting for them to come up
  • Shown how to turn it off and on, because you will want to
  • Collected with the gazebo, nothing for you to return

Pair them with festoon lighting and the sidewalls down and a gazebo in winter looks considerably better than it sounds.

Heater hire questions

How much does it cost to hire a gazebo heater?

£49 per heater for the hire period, fitted and wired in at no extra charge when they come with a gazebo. Hire two or more gazebos and the heaters are free. The quote builder shows you the exact cost alongside the gazebo.

How many heaters do I need?

One heater for a 2 x 2m or 3 x 3m, one or two for a 3 x 4.5m depending on how open the sides are, and two for a 3 x 6m so the warmth reaches both ends. If you are running with all four sidewalls down you can usually get away with fewer.

Are they safe to use under a gazebo?

Yes, and more so than the gas alternative. There is no flame, no combustion and nothing to tip over, because the units mount overhead on the frame rather than standing on the floor. We fit them at a safe distance from the canopy, run the cable where nobody will trip on it, and test them before we leave.

How warm does it actually get?

Warm enough to stand around in shirtsleeves on a cold evening. With the walls down, one heater in a 3 x 3m takes it from uncomfortable to pleasant, which in practice is the difference between guests staying and guests leaving early.

Can I hire just a heater without a gazebo?

Heaters go out with gazebo hires rather than on their own, because the delivery run is the expensive part. If you already have cover and just want heating, email us and we will see what we can do.

Do you run out of heaters in winter?

This is the one worth booking early. Our stock is our own rather than hired in, so we do not run dry the way firms that subcontract do, but October through December is busy and heaters go first. If your event is in that window, get it in the diary.
